This site designed and built by Irish children, was made so other children in Ireland and internationally could learn more about their country. It is a wonderfully creative site; very interactive and student-centered! Mr. O'Connor and the third grade students have made a great showcase of their school and their learning. You will find Poems, Book reports, Stories and Geography information. Teachers and students will want to visit this site over and over again. Well done! This three teacher school was built in 1964 and is situated between Cloghan and Kilcormac, in Ireland. Despite being a small school, the web site is a wonderful showcase of student's work and achievements! The children at Templepatrick Primary School in Northern Ireland have been building a website based on the football World Cup - a chance for people from different countries to get together and be the best that they can be, and also about World Peace - as unfortunately in the last year we have seen some terrible examples of people being the worst that they can be. The pupils hope that, through their site, they will receive messages or poems or prayers of peace from someone living in each of the 32 World Cup countries. They would also be delighted to hear from anyone from any other country, and would be very excited to hear from anyone who has taken part, or is going to take part in the World Cup. This website has been prepared by the children and teachers in Inver N.S., Co. Mayo, Ireland. Some classes have been experimenting with music and have been very creative. Listen to their rave and reggae combinations at the music page. Experience the exciting project created by the children in the senior classes which describe life, history, music and language in the area. 'Ár gCeantar' is a phrase from Gaeilge which means literally 'Our Region'. The pupils have collected huge amounts of information about the region and presented it as a project.
