Pollution and Conservation
When doing a unit on the Georgia Performance Standard S3L2-Interdependence of Man - Pollution and Conservation, the students had to demonstrate their knowledge of pollution and humans on the environment by doing a powerpoint presentation in groups of three as a culminating activity. Each group had to answer an essential question such as: What are the effects of pollution on plants and animals and their habitats? They had to include 5-6 slides and incorporate photos and/or clipart in their powerpoint. On the last day of the unit, each group had to present their projects using the scan converter. (S. Dixon)
CVC Flip Chart
Using ActivStudio I created a flipchart that focused on sounding out CVC words, with a particular focus on Prep level. Children had to look at a picture, listen to the word and then drag the letters into the box. Kids loved it. The flipchart can be found on www.prometheanplanet.com (S. Walton)
